COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP ORGANIZATION EXTENDS DEADLINE TO NOV 1

Huntington, NY – The Leadership Huntington Foundation recently announced that it will extend the deadline for applications to its 2010 Flagship Program to November 1st, 2009. The organization is now accepting applications for its unique community leadership program that is tailored to improving the quality of leadership in the Town of Huntington and promoting trusteeship among the various sectors of our community. Leadership Huntington Foundation Flagship Program participants are carefully selected to represent current and developing leaders from many different cultural, economic, and professional backgrounds. Over a nine month period, participants delve into current community issues during a series of in-depth workshops, as well as meet and interact with key community, business and local government leaders. Throughout the program, participants study the qualities that make an effective leader, analyze individual leadership roles, and develop personal leadership styles and skills. Leadership Huntington is designed to produce well-informed, motivated leaders who are willing and capable of working together for the good of the community.

Additionally, the Leadership Huntington Foundation is pleased to host a special after hours business mixer on Tuesday, October 6th 2009 from 5:30 to 7:30 at Mac’s Steakhouse, located at 35 Gerard Street in Huntington Village. Chat with graduates of the program and leaders of our community at the best happy hour in Huntington while enjoying complimentary hors d'oeuvres and drink specials.
