We are always delighted to hear about how Leadership has somehow touched the life of a graduate, be it through a new connection, awareness, or skill.These stories -- individual manifestations of the Leadership experience -- are what motivate our volunteers to keep driving this program forward. Here is an excerpt from a letter we recently received from a member of the current class:
One of the major reasons I joined Leadership was to improve my public speaking and professional confidence. I'm proud to say that I not only contributed many ideas to the group today, but I also recorded and presented our findings. I didn't feel nervous at all, and in fact was completely at ease in my presentation.
I think I owe this to my involvement in Leadership, and I just wanted to take a minute to thank you both! It's been a great experience thus far, and I'm looking forward to whatever comes next!"
Encouraging community members, and validating their ability to find their voice and do their thing is at the very heart and soul of Leadership. Letters like these return the favor!
